1. What is DriveIt Shop?

2. Do you take a percentage of the sales?
No. You simply pay a flat monthly rate. Setting up an E-Commerce store is about getting found online. When you're found online, you generate online sales as well as Web-2-Store (W2S) sales. Our goal is to help you sell your products. back to top
3. How do I get found online?
Each product in your DriveIt Shop generates an indexed page, making is easier for search engines to find you. back to top
4. Who keeps the data on the customers?
YOU DO! Unlike many other third-party E-Commerce software providers, we do not sell or market to your database. The customer names generated by your online store are yours and yours alone to market to if you so choose. back to top
5. What about taxes?
During the initial setup of your DriveIt Shop, our Customer Care rep will work with you to determine what tax settings will work best for your store. This is based on your geographic region, and what regions you sell into. DriveIt Shop can accommodate GST and PST, as well as any other taxes you require. back to top
6. What if I want to sell in difference currencies?
You can set DriveIt Shop to take any currency your business is able to accept. Your shoppers simply click on the flag of the corresponding currency displayed on your DriveIt Shop, and all product prices are instantly converted. If you don't want the site to convert, but rather want to have a set the price in another currency, this option is also available. back to top

7. What about shipping?
As each retailer has different shipping needs, we've set up DriveIt Shop to accommodate this. Whether you use Canada Post or a courier, it's simply a matter of plugging in the appropriate rates. Later on, if you need to change shipping information, you'll be able to easily administer that yourself. back to top
8. Am I able to track my packages using DriveIt Shop?
No. However, you are able to associate your courier's tracking number with each specific order. back to top
9. How do I fulfill orders placed on my DriveIt Shop store?
You'd take the same steps that you would if someone were to phone in an order. Each retailer has their own method of sending their product, whether it's a room in the back of a store or using a fulfillment house. Once you've sent your product, you simply change the status in DriveIt to "Shipped Complete" and the cycle is complete. back to top
10. Will I have to staff up to manage my online store?
Hopefully someday - because you'll be so busy online and in-store that you'll need someone else. At the beginning, no. DriveIt Shop is easy to use, and again, it's just as if someone phoned in an order. You'd follow the processes you currently have in place. back to top
11. Do you process the transaction?
DriveIt Shop is the order taker. Your customers enter their credit card number within your DriveIt Shop and then how the order is processed is up to you. You can use your point-of-sale machine, phone in the credit card information or process the orders online in real time. back to top

12. How do I go about setting up online payment?
To do this, you need to adjust your current merchant account to allow "card not present" online status. We currently work with merchants using Moneris and eXact in Canada, and Authorize.Net in the United States. If you use someone else, let us know. We'll work with you and your merchant services company to facilitate other software as the need arises. back to top
13. How will this affect my current web hosting provider?
It won't. We play very nicely with all of your existing suppliers. Your current web site can remain hosted where it is. When your customers click on your "Store" button, they'll jump to our secure servers. If you don't currently have a site and require a host, we can accommodate this, at an additional fee. back to top
14. Is DriveIt Shop secure?
Yes. Our company has its own Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate which tells your customers that they can safely enter their information. If you're interested in having your own SSL certificate, we can arrange this for you. back to top
15. Why would I want my own SSL certificate?
If you use our certificate, the URL will change to driveit.clickspace.com when the jump to our server occurs. If you'd like your company name to remain in the URL, then you'll need your own certificate. This certificate is renewable on an annual basis. back to top
16. Which credit cards are accepted by DriveIt Shop?
VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are currently accepted. back to top

17. What if my customers don't need to or want to pay with a credit card?
You can offer your customers other ways to pay, including: cash, On Account, Cheque or C.O.D. back to top
18. Can DriveIt Shop show sale prices, promotions or coupons?
Yes. For each product you list in DriveIt Shop, you can create a sale price for any promotions you are running. This will appear on your shop with a strike through the regular price and the sale price bolded below. Other online promotions you can set up and track using DriveIt Shop are eCoupons. You can set up a code for a particular mail-out, affiliated company, staff discounts, you name it. It can be a percentage off, or a dollar value and you can track everyone who has redeemed an eCoupon by the code you set. ECouponing also works great to track how well your ads are working for you in traditional media. When the sale is over or the coupon has expired, it's just a simple click to put things back to normal. back to top
19. Can I process refunds?
Yes. DriveIt Shop keeps all of your orders within your account. They'll only be deleted if you delete them! To process a refund, go to the order and hit Refund. back to top
20. Can DriveIt Shop accommodate gifts and gift notes?
Yes. A purchaser can provide their information for billing purposes and have the gift sent to another address. At checkout time, the shopper can type in what they'd like to see on the note that's accompanying the gift. back to top
21. What if I don't have any photos of my products?
Often retailers do not have photos of the products for sale nor have the budget to hire a photographer to take them. If you are reselling another manufacturer's products, approach them for the images. They are usually very pleased to share their photos. If you need to shoot your own products' photos, a regular digital camera should work just fine. back to top

22. How big are the photos?
DriveIt accommodates three sizes of photos: small (thumbnail), medium and large. That way, your customer can click on an image to get a really detailed view of the product being purchased. Also, during the checkout process, the photo is shown to the customer, rather than just text. This makes the purchasing experience much nicer. back to top
23. Where do I store all my photos?
There is a graphics library within your DriveIt account, so all your product shots are in one place. back to top
24. Once my store is all set up, what now?
DriveIt is a far more robust software suite than simply E-Commerce. It is comprised of five more easy-to-use tools all working off of your centralized DriveIt database. The tools are all available to you as required. Our DriveIt Messaging tool allows you to create HTML based email messages that are fully trackable. You can also PULL information back in from your customers by using our web form tool (Generator), or our Surveys tool. DriveIt can assist you to create a profile of those purchasing from your store and how they interact with your communications. back to top
