Mission Statement

Alberta Ecotrust Foundation builds partnerships throughout Alberta between environmental organizations, corporations, and others who support environmental action to: fund and support effective grassroots environmental projects; build capacity and sustainability in the voluntary sector; and promote the environment as the foundation of a healthy community.

Description

As a unique strategic alliance of businesses, environmental groups and community members, Alberta Ecotrust currently raises and distributes about $300,000 in grants to approximately 25 registered non-profit organizations each year for grassroots projects to protect the environment. The groups we fund continue to demonstrate and deliver positive environmental benefits, high community involvement, achievable goals and meaningful results. Funding priorities include long-term outcomes addressing priority areas such as the protection, conservation or maintenance of our water and air resources, wilderness areas and urban landscapes. An investment in Alberta Ecotrust is an investment in the health and welfare of all Albertans!
