Welcome to Rosscarrock School where learning is our central purpose.
Rosscarrock Elementary was built in 1961 and has 7 classrooms. Numerous plants and birds live in the hallways and classrooms that are cared for by staff and students. We have a computer lab integrated with our Library Resource Centre. We are a small school with about 150 students from kindergarten to grade six who reside mostly in the Rosscarrock Community. Our students move on to Vincent Massey Jr. High and Ernest Manning High School.
About Our School Name
A pioneer Calgarian, William John Tregillus who established his spread in 1902 on the outskirts of Calgary named his brick mansion Rosscarrock. He was a flour miller by profession and on his land raised dairy cattle and Hackney horses. The brick mansion is gone but the community and school carry on the name.
