Understanding the Environmental Landscape in Alberta

Alberta Ecotrust is about to embark on a new and timely project, thanks to a generous grant from the Alberta Real Estate Foundation!  The project is called
Beyond Funding: Assessment of the Environmental Landscape in Alberta, and will give Ecotrust and other funding agencies a better understanding of province-wide environmental priorities from diverse viewpoints, the actual work or activity occurring in these areas and, most critically, the barriers to future action or success.

Does Your Grant Application Make Cents?

by Erin Burrell

Sometimes writing grant proposals reminds me of those university days when I was struggling under a deadline to get a paper written. You know how it is – you have a general idea of what you are trying to say but don’t have the time or energy to organize your thoughts into one coherent message by the due date (especially when you have 3 other papers due that week!).

At Alberta Ecotrust we see grant proposals of all different qualities, suggesting that some of you struggle with the same kinds of frustrations...

Click here for some pointers on writing grant proposals..

Adventure Awaits Alberta Ecotrust Donors!

We deeply appreciate our dedicated donors who provide us with the means to support important and interesting community-based environmental projects.  This year, we want to say thanks by taking you out into the community to experience firsthand some of the projects that would not be possible without your support.

This is all we are telling you now, but be for-warned…
you may get your feet wet and your hands dirty!

To inquire how you too can become a donor and participate in a unique environmental experience, please contact Wanda Spooner at 403.209.2245 or  wspooner@albertaecotrust.com.
