Break-through Performance

Smash through the next level in Your Business

I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial's hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid."
                                                         - Napoleon Hill

With all the thoughts and energies that are usually put in place at the beginning of each quarter's (90 day) planning sessions, we'd like to share some thoughts recently articulated by Vic Cuifitelli, CEO, Action International.

When setting your desires and pace for the next 3 months take time to ask yourself these questions -

Looking back on Qtr 2 2005...

What were my successes?

What did I do that I haven't given myself credit for?

What unrealistic expectations did I hold myself to?

What would I do over, if given the opportunity?

What lesson did I learn from this experience?

Looking forward to QTR 3 2005...

What did I want to accomplish in the last quarter that I wasn't able to?

Why was this important to me?

What held me back?

What am I willing to do differently?

End your thoughts with...

Who are the people I am most grateful for?

What are the strengths and skills I am most grateful for?

What is my best quality? How will I share this quality with more people?

Everyday that you do not commit yourself to greatness, you are falling asleep, allowing yourself to suffocate in an atmosphere of mediocrity. You only need to look at the newspaper or TV to know we are surrounded by negativity that cares little about inspiring greatness. We are often exposed to people who care nothing about being different, trying harder, or aiming higher. And we are barraged by a constant stream of products and services and efforts where "average" makes the grade.

We live in an atmosphere of mediocrity, and like poison gas it will dull us, bore us, disillusion us and lessen us if we don't wake up and do something about it.

Fear of failure is the main reason why more than 80% of people in the world are not prepared to change their circumstances. Why do people fear failure so much? The reason for this is because people don't understand the dynamics involved in success and failure.

Everything we do in life has either a right way of doing it and a wrong way of doing it. When we do it the right way we meet with success. Needless to say, when we do it the wrong way we are unsuccessful. Understanding this is important because it puts failure in its proper perspective and removes the fear around it.

When someone who doesn't understand this dynamic meets with temporary failure they give up - thinking that they are not good enough or that they will never make it. But is this really the case? Does the fact that you didn't make it the first time mean that you are not good enough? Does it mean that you'll never make it? Not at all! All it means is you have not found the correct method yet!

"Every failure, every adversity and every heartache, carries with it the seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit", said author, Napoleon Hill.

Failure contains the seed of victory and of success. Failure teaches you what works and what doesn't. When we study the reasons for our failure and learn from it, we'll find the key to our success.  That's why in our business development practice we place so much value on "Testing and Measuring".

What one thing could you do today to improve your business ? What difference to your life would this make if it became a habit?

Forming winning habits which become ingrained will yield winning results.

Are your habits keeping you stuck or are they moving you forward? If one of your habits is spending too much time planning and not enough time doing, then you're not likely to achieve your desired results.  Conversely, if you are spending all your time doing (working IN your business) and no time planning (working ON your business) you are not likely to live up to your full potential either.

To break unproductive habits while adding habits which will move you forward is one of the goals of coaching. These daily habits can be fairly small but will gradually amount to something much bigger.

Let's take the example of someone who needs to make telephone calls to further their business. A habit to break may be spending too much time thinking about each call, putting it off, or finding other things to do. The new habit to introduce may be to make 3 telephone calls a day or to identify the one daily telephone call which will have the biggest impact on your business.

If you think you could use some help breaking through to the next level in your business, I encourage you to identify and introduce one daily habit into your business or professional life. Keep it small to start with and as your feeling of success increases, you can add to it. Your success lies with the actions you take each day.

Drive Up Your Average $ Sale

Cash Flash! Instant Cash Flow Tips

Just imagine what would happen to your bottom line if you could increase your average order size by 10%.  If your annual sales volume is $2.5 million then your sales would increase by $250,000.  What would this mean to your bottom line?  A 10% increase you say, not so fast.  In our experience, it is often 2 times this amount and is some extreme cases as much as 9 times 10% - that's anywhere from a 20% to 90% increase in profit!  ... [FULL STORY]
