Condominium E-magazine Issue # 7 -   December 2005
     What's New?

A few changes to the  Condo E-magazine and Teleseminar Schedule
  • the Condo E-magazine will be distributed everythird montheffective February 2006.
  • The Condo TeleSeminar will be held every third month effective March 2006.
  • Advertising in the e-magazine will be changed from a business card ad to a classified ad.
The reason for these changes is due to the busy condominium industry in Alberta;
the time required for industry leaders to write articles and appear as guests is limited.
We will continue to do the best we can to solicit articles and speakers and provide topical information.

We welcome your feedback and suggestions.  Please submit articles or volunteer to be a guest
on our TeleSeminar.  We are looking for individuals who provide services and information
to condominium boards and owners.

I can be reached on-line at  bernie@condo-check.com or by phone on my direct line at (403)270-3164.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season

Cheers!

A Bright IDEA

Submitted by:

  Ryan Stiens

The discovery and application of electricity has been one of the most relevant events in the history of the world.  However, the lack of a reliable source of backup power has plagued civilization since it became dependent upon electricity.  The innovative people at Intelligently Designed Electric Applications or IDEA are rectifying that problem with their Bright Emergency Backup Power units.  The Bright units offer a safe, simple, silent, and stylish source of emergency backup power.

The Bright units are a battery-based unit that stores a charge until it is needed.  These reserve units are superior to power generating units in that they are simple, there is no wiring necessary. Simply plug the unit into the wall.  They are safe, Bright units are not burning fuel so they do not put off deadly fumes.  They are also silent.  They are stylish, encased in a beautiful piece of wood furniture customized to your wishes.

Simplicity through efficiency is at the heart of the Bright units.  Four units are offered; one unit is built into your cabinetry, while the others stand-alone and can be placed wherever they are needed throughout your residence.  The stand-alone units have hidden wheels making them extremely mobile.  When the power goes out, units will automatically transfer plugged in appliances to reserve power or the transfer can take place by simply pressing a button on the lighted display.  One model even offers a LED light, which switches on when the power goes out.

The Bright units are a power reserve encased in a custom-made piece of wooden furniture, which conforms to your home décor.  IDEA is based in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where woodworking long ago became an art form and backup power has always been a necessity.   The Bright units provide the function of reserve emergency power and the form of an aesthetically pleasing addition to your home décor.   The Bright units also offer a solar power option.  When power is lost for long periods of time solar power can be utilized to recharge the unit.  The lightweight solar panels (6.8-12.5 lbs.) offer renewable power by simply sitting in the sunlight.  Every unit has an outlet for the solar panel cord (100 ft.), which comes attached to the compatible IDEA solar panel, built in.  This renewable feature adds the reliability of the sun to the efficiency of your home grid power.

For those who do own generators the Bright units are also engineered to recharge by simply plugging a heavy-duty extension cord into the unit from your generator.  Thus the Bright units can store reserve power from the grid, from the sun, or from the generator and deliver that power safely when and where it is needed.

Following are testimonials from some very satisfied customers:

During the last power outage I was able to have hot coffee, breakfast and was gratified by the site of my daughter comfortably watching videos.
—Bill M. (Father, Business Owner)

With my backup power unit I can plug in my computer and work on papers OR I can plug in my XBOX and play video games… …Backup power is GOOOOOOD!
—Brandon T. (college student)

Being self-employed and doing most of my work in my home office, I take for granted the luxuries electricity provides until it goes out. Now that I have the IDEA device I can stay connected and get my work done even when the power goes out.
—Trey C. (Business owner)

IDEA Bright units offer versatile power solutions to electrify your life when the power fails.  If you have any questions or would like more information you can contact IDEA through the phone (828-696-0607), through email (info@designsbyidea.com), or by logging onto the website (www.designsbyidea.com) and let this Bright IDEA simplify your life.
