Last month we talked about how to get the most for your business when you sell it.  This month we will deal with some succession considerations for your private family business.

Family business owners have to work through the succession process while playing several different roles.   These roles are often conflicting. Balancing these conflicts is often difficult.  This challenge may be one of the reasons why succession planning is often neglected.

Complimentary Consultation

This is your chance to get expert feedback on how you can get more of what you really want from your business; whether that is more money, better staff, more free time, more fun, or a combination of all four.

What is the Process?

We will ask you a few brief questions on the phone and then if it makes sense we will arrange a time for your complimentary consultation.  We will ask you to fill out a brief background questionnaire in advance.  It is only 2 pages long and takes less than 5 minutes.  Then we will send you information about us and what we do that you can review at your convenience.

In our meeting, we'll ask you about your business, your goals and your challenges - what's working and what's not working.  We'll give you feedback on your current situation and come up with at least a couple of ideas that you can implement in your business right away!

Then you can decide what the right next step is for you. 

Will I get a Hard Sales Pitch?

No.  While we do encourage you to make a yes or no decision concerning one of our programs, there are a number of reasons why we readily accept a decision not to proceed.

  1. We have been at this a long time and we know business coaching is a service that is bought and not sold.  So, sales "tricks" are neither appropriate nor effective.
  2. Because we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, it is in our interest to only work with people that are excited about moving forward.  Our time is too valuable to work for no return.
  3. Our agreements are simple month to month agreements that can be easily cancelled.   At the risk of being called lazy; we do a lot of extra work in the first few months that we don't bill extra for.  Since we like to maximize our own productivity, we want people that will stay with us a long time. 
  4. We have a limited ability to accept new clients.  At any time, we usually only have space in our private coaching programs for 1 or 2 new clients.  Again, we want people that are excited about moving forward and who are likely to want to stay in the program for a long time.

If I Decide to Go Ahead What Will it Cost?

There is no cost to the complimentary consultation.  If you decide to go ahead and become a client, a coaching program will be developed to suit your requirements and your budget.  Our clients pay an agreed upon flat rate per month based on their requirements.  There are no hourly charges or billing surprizes. The current rate for our low intensity program is $1350 per month.
