Idle Free Design Contest: We have a Winner!

After launching a contest to design an idle-free decal on Earth Day and receiving numerous great entries, Clean Calgary Association has chosen a winning design. Doug Driediger’s graphic conveys a positive message to Calgarians supporting them to turn off their cars, it is very clear and inspires people to be idle-free. Doug is both excited to have won and to be part of this great initiative. He is also modest about his talents as an artist and his contributions to the non-profit sector in Calgary.

Save the Water
Q:
Hi Ashley,
Someone recently posed the question to me. "Why do we need to save water anyway?" This may seem like a ridiculous question - but I really didn't know how to answer that question! His argument was that the glaciers are going to melt whether we use the water or not. It's not like we are 'bottling' it and saving it for a time when we will need it. I understand the glaciers are going to keep on melting so how does our water use and consumption make a difference?
Sincerely,
Heather
