Assisting members with developing high quality online curriculum has always been a top priority for eCampusAlberta. This fall, eCampusAlberta is pleased to announce that a further $500,000 is available to members to fund a new round of curriculum development projects. The Ministry of Advanced Education and Technology has awarded a one-time, $910,000 grant to eCampusAlberta that will provide funding for several member-driven initiatives over the next couple of years. These funds will enable a new round of online curriculum development funding, provide support for core initiatives and assist with efforts to raise awareness about online courses and programs. More
A new online marketing campaign to promote courses and programs offered through eCampusAlberta is building on the success of last year’s campaign, which saw website traffic nearly double during the time it was active. The new campaign features a series of flash animation and still photo skyscraper and banner ads that promote the flexibility that online education offers students. These digital marketing resources are available now for members to download for use on their websites. More
Pending legislation in Alberta is expected to mean big changes for pharmacy technicians as they become regulated health professionals – a change that will affect Pharmacy Technician students too. The good news for students enrolled in Red Deer College’s Pharmacy Technician program is that they can rest assured they will be well prepared for these changes. More
